About the film

Ordinary Greatness follows first-time filmmaker Michael J Gillette as he confronts the end of a lifelong dream, the loss of an imagined identity, and discovers the meaning and beauty already present in ordinary life.

This belongs to you.

A young boy with light brown hair, wearing a red overall and a long-sleeve shirt with colorful patterns, sitting outdoors on a gravel surface, smiling and touching his chin.

I’m Michael.

Ordinary Greatness came out of a life spent chasing proof that I mattered.

It may begin with my story. But it doesn’t end with it.

Because this isn’t mine to keep.

Somewhere inside this story is an invitation to look at your own.
